Tobias Speicher 28dcd38a53 refactor: replace deprecated String.prototype.substr() 
.substr() is deprecated so we replace it with .slice() which works similarily but isn't deprecated

This also fixes an exception that was throwing where we only allowed links
within the terminal's 'rows', which should have been buffer length
